The positive ex-traction control (PEC) was prepared by spiking the NC with 1 × 105 pfu/ml of Monkeypox virus and stored at −70° ± 10 °C. ACAM2000 is a live vaccine for active immunization against smallpox disease licensed by the U.S. FDA for persons determined to be at high risk for smallpox infection.
